CGMFA-ACGMV – Call for Board Nominations

Deadline: Noon, November 14, 2016

The CGMFA is accepting nominations for individuals to serve on the Board of Directors for the 2016 year.  The Board of Directors consists of fifteen (15) individuals.  To be eligible for nomination, a person must be

  • a member in good standing of the CGMFA;
  • nominated by another member;
  • be at least 18 years old;
  • not have been declared incapable by a court in Canada or in another country;
  • be an individual (i.e., a corporation cannot be a director); and
  • not be in bankrupt status.

Eligible nominations must be received by noon, November 14, 2016. Should an election be required, eligible nominees will be listed on the CGMFA website and separate notice will be given.

CGMFA-ACGMV – Notice of Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting of the Canadian Grand Masters Fiddling Association will be held at the Boardroom of Dymon Self Storage, 323 Coventry Road, Ottawa Ontario on Tuesday December 13, 2016 commencing at 7:00pm.  The annual general meeting is open to all members in good standing and shall include such business as required in the bylaws of the organization including but not limited to receiving of financial information for the previous year, election of the Board of Directors and confirmation or amendment of the bylaws of the organization.  A member who is unable to attend may designate a proxy to act on his or her behalf.  A proxy must be designated in writing, bearing the signature of the member and be received by the organization at least twenty four hours in advance of the annual general meeting.   The following proxy form is provided for you convenience.
